Cornerstone’s Church Corner

Our theme for the month at preschool is “Toads and Turtles”. This will be such a fun unit; we'll have lots of fun with water and lots of fun learning about pond life. Our Bible theme for the month is “The Easter Story”. The children will learn all about the sacrifice Jesus made for us and what the true meaning of Easter really is.

Cornerstone Open House

On February 22^nd, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Cornerstone Christian Preschool will be having a community open house/registration night, if you want to ask questions and meet the teachers. You may also register at that time, but we urge you to register early, since we fill quickly. If you have any questions about our preschool program, please call Ms. Julie at the preschool or stop in to visit during class time/office hours, M-F 8:00-2:30

Cornerstone Scrapbook Fundraiser

Cornerstone Christian Preschool will be hosting a scrapbooking fundraiser in the Fellowship Hall at St. John Lutheran Church. Please join us! All are welcome, it will run Feb.27^th from 9a.m.-9p.m. Hourly drawings for prizes, free food, snacks and beverages will be provided.

Easter Lily Fundraiser

Cornerstone & St. John are joining together for a Easter Lily sign up in the Narthex. Please sign up by March 5^th, and we are asking St. John congregation to leave lilies in the church for a Easter Memorial Flower Garden. Please fill out the Memorial Garden sheet on the order form. Proceeds are going to Cornerstone & St John expenses

February is already upon us, and the kids are very excited about their upcoming Valentine’s Day party. We’ll be talking about the “Human Body” all month long and learning the story of “Zacchaeus”.

Happy Birthday Jesus Concert

The Cornerstone children are busy working on their Christmas songs for our Happy Birthday Jesus Concert on Dec.18^th. If you’d like to come and see the children perform, we will have two concerts, one at 6:00 pm and one at 7:15 pm.

Christmas time is already here! This month, in the preschool, we will be focusing on the true meaning of Christmas…Jesus’ Birth! We will also be “traveling” around the world, exploring other Christian traditions in other countries. The kids are always amazed that not everyone has a Christmas tree in their living room.

Fabulous Fall times are ahead us! We’ve been having a great time in our classes. The kids will be learning all about transportation, Noah’s Ark and of course Thanksgiving and for what we’re thankful.
