September 11^th is Rally Sunday. We are looking forward to meeting the students and their parents at 9:15 AM in the Fellowship Hall. We will serve a light breakfast and you will be able to meet your teachers for the upcoming year. Classes will begin September 18^th at 9:15 AM-10:15 AM.

Christian Education meeting

I would like to schedule a Christian Education meeting for Thursday, August 25th at 6:30-7:30. You are all very important to this team, especially now that we no longer have a youth director. Your voice is very essential!

Sunday school

Sunday school starts on September 11th, time to rally the kids, the teachers and start a new year of learning about our Lord.

SUNDAY SCHOOL AND KIDS PROGRAM CANCELED

Because of the weather, Sunday school and the Children's portion of the Christmas program have been canceled tomorrow. Worship services and the adult Christmas Cantata will still go on as scheduled.

Operation Christmas Child

Our first Sunday School mission is “Operation Christmas Child”. We are asking families to bring in items to fill shoeboxes that will go to children around the world who normally do not receive any gifts at Christmas time. Suggested items: small metal cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, crayons, markers, coloring, books, lollipops, jewelry sets, watches, small picture books, etc. Do Not send any guns or war related items. Rally Sunday

Rally Sunday will be Sept. 12th and the Sunday School kick off is set to start at 9:15am. This is a time for parents to come along with their children, meet their teachers, and fellowship with other families involved in the program. Children will have the chance to check out their classrooms and sing some familiar songs! We look forward to starting the year and sharing God's word with your children!

Sunday School Supplies Needed

Sunday school supplies needed: Clorox Anywhere Spray, Masking Tape, Kleenex, Duct Tape, Adult Size Scissors, Water Color Paints (in trays), Pens, Tacky Glue, Scotch Tape. Sunday School Kick-Off is September 12th in fellowship hall.

All St. John Members – We are currently looking for Sunday School teachers & helpers to fill a few spots for next fall. Call Lori at 263-5090 or sign up in the Narthex

Sunday School mission for March & April

Members of St. John, the Sunday School mission for March & April is supporting the Bible School Alaska Mission trip for Wanda Thoreson. All members are welcome to donate small items for a gift/treat bag, filled with items such as: hair accessories, hard candy, Match Box cars, Bible story books, Beanie Babies, pencils, erasers, hats, mittens and an 8x11 gift bag, for each child, given at the end of that week. Please drop these items off by May 2. Thank you!
