VBS - “Egypt-Joseph’s Journey from Prison to Palace”

VBS 2010 - August 9 -12 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. Welcome to Egypt! We’re glad you have chosen this amazing experience that will help kids (and adults) experience Joseph’s incredible faith journey from prison to palace – right alongside Joseph himself! Your family can have the opportunity to share their belief in the one true God. Through Egypt VBS, lives will be touched and hearts will be changed. Unity in the Community

Unity in the Community - Saturday, May 29, 9:00 AM – Evening. Corner of County Road 45 and 4 (Zimmerman stoplight). Unity in the Community is a fun outreach event for St. John during Zimmerman’s Wild West Days (Memorial Day weekend).

Sunday School mission for March & April

Members of St. John, the Sunday School mission for March & April is supporting the Bible School Alaska Mission trip for Wanda Thoreson. All members are welcome to donate small items for a gift/treat bag, filled with items such as: hair accessories, hard candy, Match Box cars, Bible story books, Beanie Babies, pencils, erasers, hats, mittens and an 8x11 gift bag, for each child, given at the end of that week. Please drop these items off by May 2. Thank you!

Last Day of Sunday School

Sunday School & Weaving Wednesday – The last day of classes will be April 28. On May 2, at 9:15 am, all children & parents are invited to join us for the year-end, send-off party. There will be a light breakfast, recognition for attendance & songs. Registration forms will be available for next Fall. No classes held that day!

VBS Dates for 2010 Announced!

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for August 9^th through the 12^th, 2010. It runs Monday through Thursday evenings. We are looking for all ages to help with the following: Preparing meals or snacks, story telling, making craft projects, playing games, singing songs, making decorations, registration & attendance and helping supervise the children.

Otsego Waterpark back by popular demand!

Saturday, March 13^th – Otsego Waterpark back by popular demand! We will be hitting the waterslides and lazy river. Please join us for the day. Sign-up sheet located on the table in the Narthex. Be at Church by 12:30 PM to catch a ride to the park. Families and kids of all ages welcome. Sponsored by the Youth group.

WINGS Event at Zimmerman Bowl!

Friday, March 19^th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM – Bowling at Zimmerman Bowl! All WINGS grades 4-6 are invited. Meet at Zimmerman Bowl at 7:00 PM. Cost is $5 per person and includes shoes. Sign up located by classrooms & on the table in the Narthex

Snow Tubing!

Attention St John's Youth & Families! Join us for Snow Tubing @ Elm Creek Park. Saturday, February 20^th from 10 am to Noon, $6 per person. Meet at church by 9:15 am to carpool. Elm Creek Park offers 20 lanes for safer snow tubing. Once you get to the bottom of the hill, hitch a ride on the moving sidewalk to get back to the top. Tubing has never been so much fun!! Tubes provided. For youth (grades 7 -12) attending w/o a parent, please make sure you have your parent sign the waiver form. Waivers and sign up sheet are hanging on the Youth board. Waiver is also attached below.
