St. John will be offering a contemporary worship service at 10:45am on May 18th.

St. John will be delivering Meals on Wheels for the month of May. Please sign up in the narthex.

We are in need of a co-director for WINGS, St. John’s youth group for our 4th, 5th and 6th Graders! You will be teaming up with Kathy Budish in planning social activities for the kids. Please contact Kathy Budish if you are interested.

FEED THE HUNGRY – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Second Harvest Heartland is having a surplus food distribution for low income families on May 20th from 6-8pm. Many volunteers are needed to help make this day happen. Please sign up in the narthex or contact Pat Oviatt with any questions.

Summer Worship Schedule begins May 25th. Sunday Services will be at 8:00am and 10:00am. Wednesday Services will be at 7:15pm.

WELCA is asking for donations of personal care supplies to give to area women’s shelters. Ideas: trial size (hotel size) soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, hair brush and hand towels. Thanks!

The family of Regina Meyer invites her friends of St. John to come and help her celebrate her 90th birthday on May 27 from 2:00 – 5:00pm in the dining room at Pine Tree. Please, no gifts.

A Senior Appreciation Dinner (for those 55 & over) will be Thursday, May 29 with socializing at 6:00pm and dinner served at 6:30pm. Look for a sign up sheet in the narthex. Sign up deadline is Sunday, May 18.

Now Hiring: Administrative Assistant to work 2-3 days per week. Job requirements: filing, typing, computer skills and office skills. If you are interested please leave your contact information with the church office and a member of the personnel committee will be in touch with you.

How does Scrip work?
The youth group orders gift cards at a reduced rate and then turns around and sells them to you for full face value. When you order a $25 gift card, you can take that gift card to the store and use it just like cash – for the full $25 value. You pay $25 and you receive $25 worth of product, just like you would if you purchased a gift card directly from the store.
